Under this new programme, singles are encouraged to "adopt" a child as "god father" or "god mother" to help nurture and mentor children within the community, especially those with difficult backgrounds.

Be part of the first cyber-counselling service for youths in Singapore.

Enjoy coffee with the elderly at Tg Rhu in a converted bin centre.

Help raise awareness of Green and Conservation issues.

• Cat Therapy Programme
Have your cats "trained" to provide help for the elderly, the handicapped and the sick deal with their problems.

We are looking for volunteers to help make life better for the many single elderly among us, especially those who live alone.

Singles Connect has linked up with Evergreen Circle, a VWO which looks after the elderly in a block of studio flats, to promote greater support for elderly singles.

One event you can take part in as a volunteer is as participants for the charity walkathon with the single elderly of Evergreen
Circle.

"Joining Hands...Melting Hearts" Intergenerational Charity Walkathon 2003

Date: 27/09/03, Saturday

Time: 8.00am to 1.00pm

Venue: Sunplaza Park, Tampines

There will be goodies bags, a lucky draw, fancy dress competition, singing
performances.
